« Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur ! »

Évangile de Jésus-Christ selon saint Luc 13,31-35.

En ce jour-là, quelques pharisiens s’approchèrent de Jésus pour lui dire : « Pars, va t’en d’ici : Hérode veut te tuer. » Il leur répliqua : « Allez dire à ce renard : voici que j’expulse les démons et je fais des guérisons aujourd’hui et demain, et, le troisième jour, j’arrive au terme. Mais il me faut continuer ma route aujourd’hui, demain et le jour suivant, car il ne convient pas qu’un prophète périsse en dehors de Jérusalem. Jérusalem, Jérusalem, toi qui tues les prophètes et qui lapides ceux qui te sont envoyés, combien de fois ai-je voulu rassembler tes enfants comme la poule rassemble ses poussins sous ses ailes, et vous n’avez pas voulu ! Voici que votre Temple est abandonné à vous-mêmes. Je vous le déclare : vous ne me verrez plus jusqu’à ce que vienne le jour où vous direz : ‘Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur !’ 

RÉFLEXION

Il viendra ce jour où TOUS, pas seulement quelques bergers, leurs moutons et les vaches dans la mangeoire, mais L’Univers tout entier et tout ce qu’il contient, se rassembleront et se prosterneront devant Le Sauveur, qui est déjà venu mais qui n’a pas été reconnu ! TOUS chanteront alors d’une seule Voix uni pour une fois, et diront : ‘Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur!’
Ce jour-là, il sera impossible de le prendre pour un jour ordinaire, comme tous les autres jours!  Car ce jour-là tout s’arrêtera!

Ce jour-là ceux qui ont été pour Dieu, Dieu Lui-même sera pour eux ! Ceux qui n’ont pas été à Jérusalem, mais qui ont vécu dans leur chair ce qui s’est passé à Jérusalem, Dieu sera avec eux.  Alors, qui pourra condamner ? Rien ne pourra les séparer de l’amour de Dieu qui est dans le Christ Jésus leur Seigneur et Sauveur. (Romains 8 :39)

Et Le Saint-Esprit répondit:

En effet petit coeur, ce jour-là sera le moment du jugement, et il commencera par la Maison de Dieu. Or, si c’est par vous qu’il débutera, inquietez-vous dès maintenant du sort de ceux qui n’obéissent pas à l’Évangile de Dieu ! Quel sera leur fin ? * Priez ! Priez pour les pécheurs! Car vous êtes La Maison de Dieu, Dieu est pour vous, et tout ce que vous demandez en priant, croyez que vous l’avez reçu et cela vous sera accordé.*

  • Merci Ô Saint-Esprit!

Ami/e de ce Puidamour, peut-être es-tu maintenant même dans une grande souffrance ! Sans doute vis-tu un calvaire !  Quel que soient tes souffrances, la croix que tu portes, saches que Dieu, en Jésus-Christ, est avec toi, même si tu te sais indigne de Lui. Il espère de tout Son Coeur que tu seras le bon larron qui Lui demandera pardon. C’est le moment où jamais de lui ouvrir ton coeur et de L’accueillir comme Il S’apprête à t’accueillir dans la communion éternelle avec Lui ! Ces quelques mots suffiront: « Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur ! »

Here is the English version of the Reflection on the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Luke 13:31-35:

On that day, some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “Go away; leave this place, because Herod wants to kill you.” He replied, “Go tell that fox, ‘Look, I am casting out demons and performing cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish my work. But I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day, for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you—how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

REFLECTION

The day will come when ALL, not just some shepherds, their sheep, and the cows in the manger, but the entire universe and everything it contains, will gather and bow down before the Savior, who has already come but was not recognized! ALL will then sing with one voice, united for once, and say: “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

On that day, it will be impossible to mistake it for an ordinary day, like all the others! Because on that day, everything will come to a halt!

On that day, those who have been for God, will find God Himself present for them! Those who were not in Jerusalem but have lived in their flesh what happened in Jerusalem, God will be with them.

So, who can condemn? Nothing will be able to separate them from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus their Lord and Saviour. (Romans 8:39)

  • Isn’t that right, Holy Spirit?

And the Holy Spirit replied:

Indeed, little heart, that day will be the day of judgment, and it will begin with the House of God. Now, if it begins with you, then worry about the fate of those who do not obey the Gospel of God! What will be their end? * Pray! Pray for sinners! For you are the House of God, God is for you, and whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.* 

  • Thank you Holy Spirit ! Blessed are You. 


Friends of The Well, perhaps you are now in great suffering, experiencing a Calvary! Whatever your sufferings may be, and regardless of the cross you bear, know that God, in Jesus Christ, is with you—even if you feel unworthy of Him. He hopes with all His Heart that you will be the good thief who will ask Him for forgiveness. Now is the perfect moment to open your heart to Him and to welcome Him in, just as He is about to welcome you into eternal communion with Him! These few words will suffice: “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
